What program components are required?
Each family will need one Parent Trail Guide, one Guys or Girls Trail Guide per child and one set of audio files (available on USB or via download).
How long does it take to get through the program?
There is about 10-11 hours of content in the My Path to Purity™ program. Parents may choose to do this over a few days or spread it out over a longer time period.
What age range is the program intended for?
The written and recorded materials were developed for preteen and early teenage children between 10-13 years old. Keep in mind that every child’s developmental progress is different and that children mature at different times.
Can this program work for older teenagers?
My Path to Purity™ is intended to generate conversation between you and your child. Therefore, the conversation can be geared toward the maturity level of your child.
Does this program deal with masturbation?
Masturbation is briefly referred to and discouraged in the recorded audio content. We have chosen to leave this topic primarily to parents to discuss as they see best.
Is the program content explicit in nature?
No. My Path to Purity™ introduces topics such as infatuation, pornography, gender issues, and abstinence in a sensitive and appropriate way. While there are some frank discussion about the physical changes to expect during puberty, there is no explicit content. The Parent Trail Guide contains additional information about puberty and sexual intercourse that parents may choose to share if they wish.
